Smart Wine Cellar is an app for managing a wine collection. It keeps every bottle you own in one place with its location, price and drinking window, tells you what is ready to drink, matches wines from your cellar to what you are cooking, and lets you review wines and host tastings with friends. It works on the web, iPhone and Android.
How is Smart Wine Cellar different from CellarTracker and Vivino?
CellarTracker is built around inventory and community notes, and Vivino around scanning and buying. Smart Wine Cellar is built around the cellar you own: a map of every bottle's spot in your rack, in 2D or 3D, food pairing from your own bottles, restaurant wine list picks based on your ratings, critic and community ratings next to your own, and tastings where friends vote from their phones, in a modern app with one flat Pro price. Can the app tell me when to drink a wine?
Yes. Every bottle gets a drinking window, so the dashboard and wine list show what is ready now, what is still maturing and what is slipping past its peak. You can also set your own window per bottle.
Is Smart Wine Cellar really free?
Yes. The Basic plan is free and covers analytics, your virtual wine rack in 2D and 3D, your wine list and inventory tracking. Every new account also gets a 30-day Pro trial, with no credit card needed.
Can I import my existing cellar?
Yes. If you are on CellarTracker you can bring your full inventory and drinking history across in a few minutes, so you are not starting from an empty cellar.
What do I get with the 30-day trial?
The trial unlocks the Pro tools, including the Food Matcher and the Buyers Guide, so you can try them before deciding. Live cellar market value is the one Pro feature not in the trial, it stays on the paid Pro plan. When the trial ends you drop back to the free Basic plan unless you choose to subscribe.
